Unemployment Benefit and Maternity Benefit from the Social Insurance Fund

We inform you regarding the announcement of the Social Insurance Department regarding the electronic submission of applications for Unemployment Benefit and Maternity Benefit from the Social Insurance Fund and the electronic payment of debts for periods for which their payment deadline has expired through the SISnet Online System.

Specifically, the announcement states that:

In the context of the government policy for the digitization and modernization of the services offered to the citizen, with the aim of creating a modern state, the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, in collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, announces that:

1. From 19/9/2022, the electronic submission of applications for Unemployment Benefit from the Social Insurance Fund through the government portal www.gov.cy will be valid.
2. From 26/9/2022 the electronic submission of applications for Maternity Benefit from the Social Insurance Fund, which has already been implemented, becomes mandatory.

In order to submit the online application for Unemployment Benefit and Maternity Benefit, it is necessary for the insured to have previously created a profile on the CY Login service (https://cge.cyprus.gov.cy/cyloginregistration/register) and to have been identified.

3. From 03/10/2022, debtors are given the possibility through the Online Contribution Payment System of the Social Insurance Department SISnet, in addition to their current contributions, to pay debts for periods whose deadline has passed.

Σας ενημερώνουμε αναφορικά με την ανακοίνωση των Υπηρεσιών Κοινωνικών Ασφαλίσεων σχετικά με την  ηλεκτρονική υποβολή αιτήσεων για Επίδομα Ανεργίας και Επίδομα Μητρότητας από το Ταμείο Κοινωνικών Ασφαλίσεων και την ηλεκτρονική πληρωμή οφειλών για περιόδους για τις οποίες έχει λήξει η προθεσμία πληρωμής τους μέσω του Διαδικτυακού Συστήματος SISnet.

Συγκεκριμένα η ανακοίνωση αναφέρει ότι:

Στο πλαίσιο της κυβερνητικής πολιτικής για την ψηφιοποίηση και τον εκσυγχρονισμό των υπηρεσιών που προσφέρονται προς τον πολίτη, με σκοπό τη δημιουργία ενός σύγχρονου κράτους, το Υπουργείο Εργασίας και Κοινωνικών Ασφαλίσεων, σε συνεργασία με το Υφυπουργείο Έρευνας, Καινοτομίας και Ψηφιακής Πολιτικής ανακοινώνει ότι:

1. Από 19/9/2022 θα ισχύει η ηλεκτρονική υποβολή αιτήσεων για Επίδομα Ανεργίας από το Ταμείο Κοινωνικών Ασφαλίσεων μέσω της  κυβερνητικής πύλης www.gov.cy.

2. Από 26/9/2022 η ηλεκτρονική υποβολή αιτήσεων για Επίδομα Μητρότητας από το Ταμείο Κοινωνικών Ασφαλίσεων, η οποία έχει ήδη εφαρμοστεί, καθίσταται υποχρεωτική.

Για την υποβολή της ηλεκτρονικής αίτησης Επιδόματος Ανεργίας και Επιδόματος Μητρότητας είναι απαραίτητο οι ασφαλισμένοι να έχουν προηγουμένως δημιουργήσει προφίλ στην υπηρεσία CY Login (https://cge.cyprus.gov.cy/cyloginregistration/register) και να έχουν ταυτοποιηθεί.

3. Από 03/10/2022 δίνεται η δυνατότητα σε οφειλέτες μέσω του Διαδικτυακού Συστήματος Πληρωμής Εισφορών των Υπηρεσιών Κοινωνικών Ασφαλίσεων SISnet, επιπρόσθετα από τις τρέχουσες εισφορές τους, να καταβάλλουν και οφειλές για περιόδους των οποίων η προθεσμία έχει παρέλθει.
